TIMES JAZIRAH, MOROTAI – Morotai Island of North Maluku seems like has a never ending capyivating natural attraction to go on the weekend. This time, this place brings out Goa Waterfall with its enchanting beauty. This place will give you an absolute serenity in solemnity during your holiday.

This place offers a stunning beauty with its untouched natural scenery. It's located 5 Km away from the nearest village, Libano. But it will be much closer when you go by riding a boat, you could reach it within 15 minutes.

Beside the waterfall itself, you could also find a beautiful cave where there are lots of sallow making their nest in it. The cave was well known by the local community as Goa Burung Walet or the Swallow Cave.

The cave has been visited by lots of people just to take their nest to be offered in the local market or even international market. "The name of the waterfall was derived from the goa or cave located next to it," Fachruddin, a local community said.

In the future, the local government has planned to make this area becomes one attractive destination. Located next to the ocean, the waterfall has becomes another sight dor the sore eyes beside the beauty of the ocean itself.

Beside Goa Waterfall, Morotai Island of North Maluku also has several other waterfalls that worth to visit such as Gubali Waterfall at Bere Bere Kecil. There are also some other attractive destination such as  Batu Island at Padange BBK Hill which located around the area. (*)
