This exciting revelation indicates that construction progress for the rest area or shuttle area near the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge has reached over 90 percent completion. "The information points to October 11, 2023," Hendro confirmed on Friday (22/9/2023).
This sentiment was shared by Septi Eka Wardhani, Head of the Administrative Affairs Division at TNBTS. While news of the opening date in October has emerged, the official letter has yet to arrive, leaving room for possible changes. However, it remains highly likely that the inauguration of the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge will take place this year.
In addition to the natural wonders of Mount Bromo, the government has introduced a new attraction: the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge. The construction of the glass bridge itself was completed in 2022, followed by the development of the adjacent shuttle area.

Remarkably, it claims the title of being Indonesia's very first glass bridge, extending 120 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width, and soaring to a height of 80 meters above the ravine.
Engineered with a robust structural design, the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge utilizes a support system featuring drilled piles and sumuran. Furthermore, it boasts a suspended bridge floor structure made of laminated glass for added safety, consisting of two or more layers.
The bonding system of the glass bridge employs one or more layers of laminations or interlayers, with a total thickness measuring an impressive 25.55 mm.
Guaranteeing the safety of visitors remains the paramount concern. To this end, the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge is equipped with double protection steel, consisting of galvanized steel coated with epoxy paint to ward off rusting.
With such specifications, the Mount Bromo Glass Bridge can easily withstand a load of up to 9 tons and accommodate 100 people simultaneously. Consequently, visitors can explore this remarkable attraction with unwavering confidence, secure in the knowledge that safety is the top priority for the park's management.
