TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTAPT ITSEC Asia Tbk (IDX: CYBR) officially opened the ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025 today in Jakarta. The three-day international conference brings together more than 1,000 participants. This icludes policymakers, industry leaders, and global experts.

PT ITSEC Asia Tbk is one of Indonesia’s leading cybersecurity firms and is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company employs over 350 professionals across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

Its services cover consulting, technology integration, and managed security. One flagship product is IntelliBron, a locally developed real-time incident response platform.

The event running from 26 to 28 August, the event carries the theme The Largest Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity Event in Southeast Asia. Organizers say the summit reflects Indonesia’s ambition to play a leading role in regional cyber defense.

The program features over 40 sessions with keynote speeches, panel discussions, and case studies. Topics include quantum cryptography, cybersecurity in healthcare systems, and real-world incidents such as malware targeting maritime operations.

Partners such as Google Cloud, Fortinet, Mimecast, Segura, and Lucy Security are among those sharing expertise. Their involvement signals growing cooperation between Indonesia and leading global security firms.

Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, said the summit aims to address the urgency of digital risks. “Our goal is to strengthen Indonesia’s cybersecurity by raising awareness while connecting local stakeholders with world-class experts,” he explained.

He emphasized the need for regional collaboration to set trusted standards. According to him, infrastructure that grows more connected also becomes increasingly vulnerable.

Prof. Eko Indrajit, President Commissioner of ITSEC Asia, highlighted the company’s broader vision. He said ITSEC Asia wants to build trust in digital transformation while positioning Indonesia as a secure hub in Southeast Asia.

According to him, resilience requires not only technological investment but also cultural trust. The summit, he noted, is a platform to build both.

Government officials echoed the importance of collaboration. Drs. Slamet Aji Pamungkas of BSSN emphasized that resilience is a shared responsibility across sectors.

He said the summit provides an important platform to develop stronger defenses and raise awareness. Rear Admiral Dr. Sri Yanto from the Ministry of Defense added that critical infrastructure represents national sovereignty itself.

Alongside high-level dialogue, the summit offers hands-on opportunities for participants. A Call for Papers invites academics and professionals to present research on IT and OT systems.

A Capture The Flag (CTF) competition allows participants to solve real-world cyber challenges. Organizers believe these activities will sharpen technical skills and build future talent pipelines.

The summit comes as Southeast Asia’s digital economy grows rapidly. The World Economic Forum projects the region’s gross merchandise value to reach $1 trillion by 2030.

Experts say this growth can only be sustained with stronger cybersecurity foundations. The ITSEC: Cybersecurity Summit 2025 hosted by PT ITSEC Asia Tbk is expected to produce strategic dialogues and partnerships to support that goal. (D)
