TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTA – Pule Village in Sawahan subdistrict, Madiun, is famous for its beautiful, bright green rice fields. De Pule Café & Resto is a restaurant with a rural atmosphere located in this village, which has become the most-loved destination for culinary tour.

 “Previously, this restaurant used to be Kampung Ceria managed by BUMDes (Village Owned Enterprises) of Pule. However, during the pandemic, this tourism destination has been changed into a restaurant,” said Anton Setyoko, the Village Head of Pule Village.

De Pule Café & Resto is a perfect place for culinary tour, photo spot, and family gathering. Its location is relatively strategic, at the border of Madiun, Magetan and Ngawi.

The signature of De Pule Café & Resto is the gazebos around the rice field. In here, the visitors can enjoy the different dining experience in a rural atmosphere.

 “There is no beaches or mountains around here. That’s why we can only use the gazebos around the rice fields to attract more visitors into this restaurant,” Anton stated.

De Pule Café & Resto was established on 9 January 2021. The Village Owned Enterprises managed this restaurant by using the government grant of IDR 50 million from East Java Provincial Government.

 “All of the staff in Kampung Ceria and De Pule Café & Resto are the locals,” said Anton.

Enjoy the culinary tour at De Pule Café & Resto, Madiun every Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm WIB (Indonesian Western Time). The price is relatively affordable, starting from IDR 12,000. (*)
