TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTA – Denim or jeans has become a nice outfit to go in almost every occasion especially informal one. Little did you know, without a proper treatment you could damage the color easily. Here are the proper ways to wash your denim. 

1. Don't mix it

When you wash tour denim, separate it from another clothes you have in youw washing machine. Denim needs more space to stretch out.

If you wash it manually you need to soak it at least for 15 minutes. And you better to turn it inside out before chucking it into your washing machine.

2. Use toothbrush

Use toothbrush for some corner like the line between the button or the pocket. Use the toothbrush to let some dirt out of the pocket.

3. Use cold water

Warm water can shrink jeans, and weaken fibers. In general, you want to run them through cold water if you want to run them through the washing machine.

4. Air dry

Dont let your drying machine ruined your favorite Jean's. After you wash it you better air dry it. Put away from the sun, put inmt in a shade. The sun could make the color of your jeans faded.   

5. Iron

Iron your jeans from the inside. Turn it inside out. The heat from the ironing bar could ruined the color of your denim. (*)
