JAKARTA – Karo HDI Setjen Kemenag RI, one of the staff of Ministry of Religious Affair Indonesia Akhmad Fauzin said that the department had sent several groups of pilgrims home. Their countermarch was all started since July 15, 2022.

Fauzin also reveale the number of the pilgrims which was sent home already. "The groups went with regular package around 16.442 people. And those with special package were around 2.956 people," Fauzin said on  Thursday (21/7/2022).

On the 6th day of the countermarch, they will send another 10 groups back to Indonesia. Those will be landed in Jakarta-Pondok Gede (JKG), Solo (SOC) Surabaya (SUB), Jakarta-Bekasi (JKS) dan Padang (PDG).

Three groups landed in JKG will carry 1.194 pilgrims meanwhile for three others goes to SUB which will carry around 1.337 pilgrims. Two other group will go for Soc with 717 pilgrims, and 1 group to JKS with 410 pilgrims and to PDG with 391 pilgrims.

The staff of Kemenag RI also revealed the number of pilgrims who are still getting some treatment in the local clinic or hospital. According to him, there are around 98 pilgrims charged to the local health center. Meanwhile, the number of those died in Saudi Arabia also raised and reached to 64 pilgrims.
