TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTA – The scientist had just found a new species of reptile recently. This species known to be the smallest reptile in the world. It then known to be nano chameleon for it's such exotic look like chameleon miniature. 

Nano chameleon was discovered by a team of German-Madagscan expedition team at degraded montane rainforest Madagascar.  They discovered two of their kind, Male and female.

The male or which is also known as Brookesia nana has 13.5 mm body length. It will be 22 mm long when its measured top to tail. Meanwhile, the female is slightly bigger than the Male. It has 29 mm long.

"The new chameleon is only known from a degraded montane rainforest in northern Madagascar and might be threatened by extinction," said the Scientific Reports journal on BBC.

The scientists concluded this species to be endangered from deforestation.  But luckily the local government has made this area protected by the law which opens a bigger chance for the species to survive.

Up until now, the scientists keep observing the nano chameleon. The most recent thing they found is that it eats mites ad other smaller species at the forest floor.

It hides amongst the lush of the grass at the forest floor to hide from predator at night. With it's small size, it will be a nice catch for a bigger animal on the forest if they didn't cover themselves.

The scientist was also amazed on how this lovely creature could be so tiny. One scientist involved on the expedition even called nano chameleon as a spectacular case of extreme miniaturization.
