TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTA – Catfish commonly served on our table for dinner. But little did you know, there are several variety of catfish that has stunning look. They could be one alternative fish to choose to fill in your aquarium. What are they? Lets check them out.

1. Cory Catfish

This stunning catfish has nice albino color. Its relatively small and doesn't need much work to take care of it. They are the mini size of catfish. Its a beginner friendly, and easier to take care of. You could guve them some Hijari for the food or blood worms.

2. Glass Catfish

Glass catfish has transparent body which make it looks like those small river grouper. Its a schooling species. You better take 5 or 6 of them to go inti your aquarium. This fishes dont like much ligh in the aquarium, so make sure you spare them some dark spot.

3. Pictus Catfish

This beautiful fish has nice long antennas. It has classic silver coloration. It's a cannibal fish so make sure you don't put it with smaller fish at the tank. Yhis fish has such a big appetite so you need to give them more food during their feeding time.

4. Upside Down Catfish

This fish will literally turn your head upside down. As their name these amazing catfish spend most of their time swimming around and grazing the surface completely upside down. However, they could swim normally just like regular one.  

5. Otocinclus Catfish

In Indonesia,thus catfish are better known as ikan sapu-sapu. It's a mild tempered fish. It eats algae aswell clean your tank from those algae stick on your aquarium glass. Its also a beginner friendly and doesn't need much effort to take care.

6. Bristlenose Pleco

Still, Indonesian will define this fish as another family of ikan sapu-sapu. This fish the most common catfish family ever found on a fish tank. Its a peaceful fish. Only eats algae and some leftover food on the tank floor.
