TIMES JAZIRAH, CIREBON – Coffee beans are divided into two main types, namely Robusta and Arabica. The variety of coffee ranges from espresso, americano, cappuccino, and so on. Nowadays, coffee varieties have been increasing in number, just like those served at Kopi Montong, a coffee shop in Cirebon. To be exact, it is located in Sindangjawa Village, Dukupuntang sub-district.

The Operations Director of Kopi Montong, Ahmad Supardi, said that their signature coffee beverage is Kopi Durian Montong (durian coffee) as the coffee shop’s name suggests. This coffee shop opens daily at 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

 “Kopi Durian Montong has been the most favorite coffee types in our shop,” he stated.

As the name suggests, Kopi Durian Montong is served with durian puree. The puree is mixed with Gayo coffee, which then creates a creamy taste.

 “Our durian coffee has a very distinctive taste,” he stated.

According to Ahmad, the location of this coffee shop, which is near to the sea, is the best place to enjoy some creamy durian coffee while marvelling at the beautiful ocean scenery.

The creamy durian combined with coffee results in a sweet, sour, and flavorsome taste to Kopi Durian Montong. This signature coffee costs IDR 20,000, which is relatively affordable.
