TIMES JAZIRAH, JAKARTACinnamon rolls has become one favorite treat in the western countries especially European. The nice smell of cinnamon, sweet taste and the soft texture has made lots of people fallen in love to this cake. Here we will guide you to make an easy homemade cinnamon Rolls. Check it out.

Ingredients:

Cooking spray (optional, you could use  butter or cooking oil) 
1 cup milk (40°C-45°C)
2 1/4 teaspoon yeast ragi instan 
2 egg (room temperature) 
5 tablespoon butter 
4 1/2 cup multipurposive floor
2 teaspoon kitchen salt
1/2 cup sugar 
1/4 teaspoon baking soda 

Filling

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar 
2 tablespoon cinnamon powder
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 sdt kosher salt (cooking salt)

Frosting 

170 gram cream cheese 
1/2 cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar 
a pinch of cooking salt 
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup milk or heavy cream

Instructions:

Prepare 9x13 inch baking pan, spray it with cooking spray.

Mix the milk and yeast using a stand mixer. Low down the speed and bring all the ingredients left in. Keep it kneaded for another 15-18 minutes with medium-high speed till you see it soften.

Move it to a bowl which has been sprayed with cooking spray before. Cover it with wet cloth and let it rest for a few minutes so the gluten settles for about 1,5-2 hours.  

During this time, get your filling ingredients ready. Mix all the filling ingredients. Use your mixer with medium speed for 3-4 minutes.

Heat the oven on 204°C. While waiting for your oven heated, place the dough in a floured surface and roll it to 46 x 46 cm.

Spread softened butter over dough, leaving a ¼ inch margin at the far side of the dough. Sprinkle mixture over the buttered dough, and then rub the brown sugar mixture into the butter. Roll it up.

Cut it off to 12 same sizes. Put it in the greased baking pan, cover it with wet cloth and let it sit for another 15 minutes or until it double in size. Then bake it for 20-22 minutes till it turns to golden brown.

For the frosting, in the bowl of an electric mixer, combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Slowly add the milk.

Spread over cinnamon rolls and your cinnamon rolls are ready to accompany you during your gathering or movie time. Enjoy!!!.
