TIMES JAZIRAH, MALANG – Thursina IIBS Malang High School, a proud partner of Istanbul Youth Summit 2024, has sent a group of students to participate in the prestigious event in Istanbul, Turkey. On the third day of the program, participants engaged in discussions and presentations on predetermined topics.

One standout group, Group 8 from Thursina IIBS Malang High School, presented their project titled "Adventure". The project highlighting the importance of wildlife and ecosystem sustainability.

"The essence of our project is to raise awareness about the significance of wildlife, such as animals and plants, in maintaining ecosystem stability. Our hope is to instill curiosity and encourage the younger generation to actively address environmental issues for a sustainable future," the Chairperson of Group 8 at Istanbul Youth Summit 2024 stated.

During the project presentation session, students from Thursina IIBS Malang High School enthusiastically shared the vision and mission of the @petualam community, along with concrete efforts made to achieve their goals. They conducted an eco-tour targeting a specific market –elementary school children in grades 1-4.

The project was designed to be enjoyable for all ages,emphasizing the importance of collaboration between individuals, communities, and the
government. Group 8's participation in the Istanbul Youth Summit reaffirms Thursina IIBS Malang High School's commitment to nurturing future leaders who care about the environment and humanity.

Through this experience, students not only broaden their understanding of global challenges but also learn to be active environmental advocates, promoting sustainability and social justice. It is hoped that the project presentation by Group 8 from Thursina IIBS Malang High
School will inspire other Istanbul Youth Summit participants to be more environmentally conscious and strengthen their commitment to preserving nature.

Their success in building awareness and taking positive actions is expected to serve as an example for other young generations to contribute to the sustainability of our planet. Aldi Subakti, the Chairman of the Istanbul Youth Summit organizing committee, expressed hope that the impactful projects presented, like the Adventure initiative by Group 8 from Thursina IIBS Malang High School, will serve as catalysts for positive change.

He emphasized the importance of fostering a collective commitment to environmental stewardship, encouraging all participants of Istanbul Youth Summit 2024 to carry the spirit of these projects into their communities.
